Eunice Marion Burton, affectionately known to family and friends as "Noomi," was the last-born of William and Lucy-Boyd Rice Burton's seven children.

Obituary

Mrs. Eunice M. Carr

Eunice M. Carr died at her residence, 272 Galena street, yesterday after a long illness.

Mrs. Carr was the daughter of William and Lucy Burton and was born in Cleveland, Ohio, March 22, 1836.

She married James Carr of Batavia and came there to live in 1867. She has resided in Aurora since 1895.

Five children survive her, Mrs. John Felver and Mrs. Sam Wolverton of Batavia, Harris F. Carr of Wichita, Kan.; Miss Lucy Carr of Aurora and William J. Carr of Pasadena, Cal.

The funeral will be held at the home Friday, at two o'clock. [1].

  1. According to the Burton family genealogy, Descendants of Joshia Burton, Eunice Marion Burton died on November 19, 1909 in Aurora, Illinois. The 19th of November in 1909 was a Friday, so evidently the funeral date was mistaken as the date of her passing.
